Joint sealants are found in almost every part of building construction.
From masonry control joints, expansion joints, window perimeter sealants, EIFS to coping stone cross joints, each substrate requires special attention and proper material selection.
Most structures heavily rely on joint sealants against water and moisture intrusion into concrete or masonry. All available sealants have limited lifespan. Sealants lose contraction and expansion properties over years and tend to crack allowing water to infiltrate easily.
Sealants play a strong role in metal construction providing great seal between metals or seal between metal and other substrates. Thermal expansion and contraction of metals is a great concern. Right sealant has to be selected to withstand that movement.
Proxer Construction performs installation of sealants in both, new and existing work. Depending on specifications or requirements of the project, Proxer Construction will utilize right sealants, sealant primers, bond breaker tapes and backer rods.
